DAWN OF DEMISE: New Guitarist Announced

December 7, 2008

Denmark's death metal masters DAWN OF DEMISE have issued the following update:

"To those out there who don't already know, we have new rhythm guitarist in the band. His name is Thomas Egede (ex-SKINNED BEYOND RECOGNITION, BLOODSOIL). He joins the band as a full-time member. He was chosen because he can play our shit, listens to a lot of the same bands as we do, is a genuine death metal freak and cool guy..."

Commented Thomas: "I've been searching for serious musicians to play with and when the rhythm guitar spot in DAWN OF DEMISE became vacant I jumped right into the auditions — and after a couple of rehearsals I landed the gig. I'm glad to be a member of DAWN OF DEMISE and I will do my best to keep the brutality comin'."

"Lacerated", the new EP from DAWN OF DEMISE, will be released in Europe on December 15 and in North America on January 27, 2009.

The track listing for the CD is as follows:

01. Extinction Seems Imminent
02. Ridden With Disgust
03. Infecting The Crypts (SUFFOCATION cover)
04. Blinded By Fear (AT THE GATES cover)
05. Turned Inside Out (OBITUARY cover)

DAWN OF DEMISE's debut album, "Hate Takes Its Form", was released in Europe on January 28, 2008 via Deepsend Records. The CD was mixed and mastered by Jacob Hansen (ABORTED, MERCENARY, NIGHTRAGE),and it "combines the renowned New York death metal sound of early SUFFOCATION with the massive technical chaos of present-day ABORTED, a perfect blend of technicality and heaviness," according to a press release.
